  • Relationships between list price and sale price
  • Commission rates, splits, and calculations
  • Mortgage calculations, including PITI, simple interest, amortization, discount points, and PMI
  • Taxes, assessments, and tax rates
  • Real estate geometry including area, volume, and acreage.
  • Depreciation and appreciation
  • Appraisal approaches
  • Cash to close, calculating closing costs, prorations, credits/debits, closing disclosures

mathematics pre-testing

On the first day of classes, after your Orientation, a math pre-test will be administered. All students must take the pre-test. Any student scoring 80% or higher will be exempt from the mathematics portion of the class. “Testing out” is completely optional - any student earning an 80% or higher on the pre-test may choose to attend some, all, or none of the math sessions.
